’Jills finish third at tournament

The Patterson Lumberjills finished third at Catholic High-New Iberia’s Gobble Gobble Shoot-Out with a 35-20 victory against Ascension Episcopal Wednesday.
Makayla Ruiz led the Lumberjills with 11 points as well as one rebound and two steals.
Other scorers included Erykah Singleton, six points, six rebounds, one assist and three steals; Nakia Brooks, six points, three assists and one steal; Jazmin Evans, six points, one assist and one steal; Gaylen Grogan, four points, four rebounds and one assist; and Alex Benjamin, two points, three rebounds, one assist and three steals.
Patterson (3-1) will return to action Tuesday when it travels to face South Terrebonne.
