74th Annual Holiday Classic opens play today at Hanson

The 74th Annual Holiday Classic _ the longest running basketball tournament in the state _ will be held December 17-20 at the Billy Gene Talbot Gymnasium.
Action got underway today at 3:30 p.m. with the Loreauville Lady Tigers taking on the Berwick Lady Panthers in Game 1.
Game 2 will send the Franklin Lady Hornets against the Abbeville Lady Wildcats at 5 p.m.
Game 3 pits the West St. Mary Wolfpack against the Berwick Panthers at 6:30 p.m. in the boys opener.
In the boys nightcap, the Hanson Memorial Tigers will battle the Delcambre Panthers at 8.
Four games are already set for Thursday with the Houma Christian Lady Warriors squaring off against the Patterson Lady Jills at 3:30 p.m. prior to the Loreauville Tigers taking on Highland Baptist at 5 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, the Houma Christian Warriors will tip off against the Kaplan Pirates before the Hanson Memorial Lady Tigers battle the survivor of the Loreauville-Berwick contest at 8 p.m.
Action will continue through Friday with the girls consolation game set for 1:30 p.m. and the girls championships game scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The boys consolation game will be played at 3 p.m. with the boys championship contest set for 6 p.m.
