Anacoco topples CHS Lady Bulldogs

CENTERVILLE — Anacoco Lady Indians eliminated the Centerville Lady Bulldogs from State Class B playoffs here Friday at Lady Bulldog Field.
The Lady Indians, who has appeared in back-to-back State Class B Championships over the past two seasons, notched a 14-3 victory over the Centerville Lady Bulldogs in the regional round of the Class B softball pairings.
Centerville’s Ashton Landry took the loss, tossing four innings, striking out two, walking six, giving up four hits with nine runs. Lacy LaGrange worked one inning, giving up four runs on no hits with four walks.
Rylie Candella led the Lady Bulldogs in hitting with a 2 for 3 effort. Victoria Theriot was 1 for 2 with a run. Rachel LeBlanc also went 1 for 2 with a run. Robyn Romero also went 1 for 2 with a run while Courtney Landry was 1 for 2.
