Area squads represented on District 6-III volleyball teams

Berwick, Patterson and Morgan City high schools all were represented on the All-District 6-III volleyball teams.
Berwick had two representatives on the first team in junior middle hitter/setter Ashton Morales and senior libero Hannah Carpenter.
Morgan City and Patterson each had one representative on the top squad. Morgan City senior Jaiveianna Jones and Patterson junior Gaylen Grogan each made the team as middle hitters.
Lutcher junior middle hitter Jariel Tureaud was named Most Valuable Offensive Player, while senior left outside hitter Sydney Bordis of E.D. White was named the most valuable defensive player.
Mary Cavell, coach of district champion E.D. White, was named Coach of the Year.
Area second-team selections were Berwick senior middle hitter Abigail Askew and Morgan City senior libero Brandi Ingram.
Area honorable mention selections were Berwick’s Rennen DeLatte, a senior; Morgan City junior setter/right-side hitter Cecily Feliciano; and Patterson sophomore outside hitter Makalya Ruiz; and Patterson junior middle hitter Arian Grogan.
