Berwick and CCHS fall on the hardwood Wednesday

Berwick and Central Catholic High schools fell in their contests Wednesday at their respective tournaments.
Berwick fell to St. Louis 75-43 in a matchup for the North Vermilion Holiday Classic Tournament championship.
St. Louis was a Class 3A semifinalist a year ago.
No individual statistics were available for Berwick today.
The Panthers (11-8) will return to the court Tuesday when it opens District 8-3A play with a 7:45 p.m. contest at Franklin.
Meanwhile, in Thibodaux, Central Catholic fell to Lusher Charter, 34-25, in the final day of E.D. White’s Cardinal Classic.
The Eagles (2-8) will return to the court Tuesday when they open District 7-1A play with a 7 p.m. contest against Lafayette Christian, Class 1A state runner-up a year ago.
Morgan City will return to the court Saturday
The Morgan City Tigers (9-7) will resume play Saturday for the first time in nearly two weeks when it travels to take on Westgate. Action is set to begin at 5 p.m.
Lady Eagles win
The Central Catholic Lady Eagles routed the Academy of Sacred Heart of Grand Coteau on the road Tuesday, 62-20.
Lydia Rivas led three players in double figures with 15 points, while Alayaih Poole scored 13 and Yani Johnson scored 10.
Central Catholic (9-4 overall, 1-0 District 7-1A) will return to action Monday when it hosts Gueydan in a 5 p.m. contest.
