Berwick beats Franklin

Berwick High School swept Franklin High 3-0 (25-8, 25-20, 25-6) in its regular season finale on Senior Night Wednesday.
Ashton Morales led Berwick (20-15) with one ace, five kills, three blocks, nine assists and five digs; while Abigail Askew had 10 kills in the win. Other top contributors included Mary Jordan Melancon, one ace, one kill, eight assists and four digs; Madeleine Hover, five kills and one assist; Hannah Carpenter, three aces and four digs; and Emma Hover, two aces and one dig.
In junior varsity action, Berwick won 2-0 (25-2, 25-13).
The Lady Panthers had 19 aces, led by seven from Hannah Henry. Henry also added one dig. Other top contributors included Brittany Roberie, four aces, two kills, one assist and one dig; Jaci Arnold, four aces and two kills; Morgan Romero, four aces; Emma Hover, one kill and one dig; and Cate Koen, one assist.
Patterson falls
to E.D. White
The Patterson Lumberjills fell in their regular season finale to E.D. White 3-0 (8-25, 7-25, 13-25).
Jazmin Evans led Patterson (16-11 overall, 2-8 in district) with three aces, one point, one kill and three digs, while Makayla Ruiz had one ace, four kills and one dig; and Nia Broussard, three digs and six assists.
In junior varsity action, Patterson fell 2-0 (25-7, 25-12).
Morgan Jones led the Lumberjills with four points, two kills and one dig. Other top contributors included Tapanga Haven, one point, two digs and two assists; Cassie Boudreaux, two points, one kill and one block; Brianna Gray, one ace, and one point; and Madison Paul, three digs.
