The Berwick Lady Panthers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 3-0 (25-10, 25-11, 25-13) win against South Lafourche Wednesday on the road.
The game was a makeup game from an earlier contest canceled due to Tropical Storm Karen.
Brie Hill led the Lady Panthers with 13 kills, one ace, three blocks, one assist and five digs; Ashton Morales, six kills, 24 assists and six digs; and Abigail Askew, 11 kills.
Other top contributors included Hannah Carpenter, two aces and 23 digs; Diana Grace Guarisco, three aces, one assist and 10 digs; Maddie Gray, one ace, three kills and eight digs; and McKenzie Baumgartner, three kills, two assists and two digs.
In junior varsity action, Berwick won 25-14, 25-16.
Sydney Aucoin had an ace, nine kills and a dig for the Lady Panthers, while Rosalyn Gros added one kill and 14 digs.
Other top contributors included Madeleine Hover, one ace, one kill, two assists and three digs; Mary Jordan Melancon, nine assists and five digs; and Caroline Osburn, one ace and one dig.
Berwick (14-13) will return to action today when it travels to face Patterson in district play. Junior varsity action is set for a 4:30 p.m. start with varsity action to follow at 5:30 p.m.
