Bowling jamborees set for Wednesday

Area bowling teams will participate in jamboree action Wednesday at three different lanes.
Central Catholic, Morgan City and Berwick bowlers will be in action.
Central Catholic will meet Central Lafourche in boys’ and girls’ action, beginning at 3:40 p.m. at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.
E.D. White and Vandebilt Catholic also will meet in boys’ and girls’ action at 3:40 p.m. at Charlie’s Lanes.
The winners in these matches will meet following these first matchups as well as the losers to determine the jamboree champions.
At Creole Lanes in Houma, the Berwick boys’ and girls’ teams will be in action along with those from H.L. Bourgeois and Terrebonne, while Thibodaux will feature a co-ed team.
Local action includes Berwick facing H.L. Bourgeois in girls’ action at 3:40 p.m., while Terrebonne and Berwick girls’ will follow.
Berwick girls also will bowl three games of “baker” in its third contest.
Berwick and H.L. Bourgeois’ boys also will meet at 3:40 p.m.
The winner of the H.L. Bourgeois-Berwick boys’ game will face the winner of the Terrebonne-Thibodaux contest, while the losers also will play each other.
At Bowl South in Houma, South Terrebonne, Morgan City and Ellender all will compete in boys’ and girls’ action. South Lafourche will compete in boys’ action.
Morgan City will face Ellender in girls’ action at 3:40 p.m. Due to the South Lafourche girls withdrawing from the jamboree, the schedule is being reworked and Morgan City’s other jamboree action will be announced.
In boys’ action, Morgan City will meet Ellender at 3:40 p.m., and depending on the outcome of its match, the Tigers will face either the winner or the loser of the South Terrebonne/South Lafourche matchup.
