Catholic High-New Iberia sweeps Patterson in volleyball

Patterson High School fell to Catholic High-New Iberia 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-19) in District 2-IV play in New Iberia Tuesday.
No individual statistics were available.
Patterson (3-8 overall, 1-1 in district) will return to action Thursday when it hosts David Thibodaux in district play.

Assumption defeated Central Catholic 3-0 (25-10, 25-13, 25-12) Monday at home.
Taylor Picou led Central Catholic with one kill, six assists, four digs and one solo block. Other top contributors included Yani Johnson, three kills, two digs and three solo blocks; Quincee Wiggins, one kill and seven digs; Hallie Autin, one kill and five digs; Sydney Williams, three kills; and Bailee Lipari, two aces.
Central Catholic (20-10) will return to action today when it hosts Madison Prep.
