CCHS honors football and volleyball teams

Central Catholic High School honored its football and volleyball teams during an awards ceremony at the school Thursday.
Football award winners included:
—Class 1A All-State: Stefano Guarisco, Tanner Wiggins, T.J. Ruffin, Jalen Johnson and Thomas Garber.
—Academic All-District: Tyler O’Con, Guarisco, Blake Byrne, Samarick Paul, DD Gant, Cooper LeBlanc, Drake Angeron, Cade Minton, Brooks Thomas, Ryan Miller, John Rentrop, Taylor Blanchard, Tyler Longman, Wiggins, Michael-Anthony Hill, Jesse Fontenot, Cade Booty, Andrew Duval, Cole Baker, Nathan Hebb and Korey Kincaid.
—Senior Awards: Guarisco, Ruffin, Wiggins, Baker, Derwin Hebert and Charlie Ray Solar.
—First team All-District: Guarisco, Garber, Mitchell Lemoine, Hebert, Ruffin, Wiggins and Johnson.
—Second team All-District: Fontenot, Baker, Greg Leger Jr., Bailey Badeaux, Dominique Skipper, Blake Hidalgo, Chris Singleton and Sydney Holder.
—Honorable Mention All-District: Byrne, Harold Ganaway and Solar.
—District Offensive MVP: Guarisco.
Volleyball Award winners included:
