CCHS places seven on All-District 7-1A first team

The Central Catholic High School baseball team placed seven players on the All-District 7-1A first-team baseball squad.
Pitchers Greg Leger and Blake Hidalgo made the top list along with first baseman Mitchel Lemoine, third baseman Drake Angeron, shortstop Samuel Guarisco and utility selections Stefano Guarisco and Thomas Garber.
The Eagles had one second-team selection, pitcher Thomas Mire, and three honorable mention selections, Patrick Barron, Adam Dupuis and Charlie Solar.
Central Catholic won the District 7-1A title and finished league play with a 13-1 mark.
Hanson utility selection Bo Barrilleaux was named the district’s most valuable player, while Ascension Episcopal coach Lonny Landry nabbed district Coach of the Year honors.
