CCHS softball tournament adjusted, no baseball games today

Central Catholic’s annual softball tournament has been adjusted and now will be played solely on Saturday at the Amelia Recreation Complex.
In the new schedule, local action includes a noon contest between Central Catholic and Ellender on Field 1, while Patterson and West St. Mary will face each other at the same time on Field 2.
At 4 p.m. on Field 1, Patterson and Ellender will meet, followed by Central Catholic and Houma Christian at 6 p.m. At 8 p.m. on Field 1, Central Catholic and Patterson will play.

—Ellender vs. Houma Christian, 10 a.m.
—Central Catholic vs. Ellender, noon.
—South Terrebonne vs. Houma Christian, 2 p.m.
—Patterson vs. Ellender, 4 p.m.
—Central Catholic vs. Houma Christian, 6 p.m.
—Central Catholic vs. Patterson, 8 p.m.
Field 2
—South Terrebonne vs. Highland Baptist, 10 a.m.
—Patterson vs. West St. Mary, noon.
—Franklin vs. Highland Baptist, 2 p.m.
—Highland Baptist vs. West St. Mary, 4 p.m.
—South Terrebonne vs. Franklin, 6 p.m.
—Franklin vs. West St. Mary, 8 p.m.
CCHS baseball tourney’s second day cancelled
Today’s action at Central Catholic’s baseball tournament will not be held.
It marks the second day in a row the tournament has been postponed due to inclement weather.
Central Catholic coach Tyler Jensen said he would know more about the tournament’s plans once he works on the field today. He said an announcement could come later today.
Chalmette tournament updated
Berwick’s opponents for the revised schedule of Chalmette’s tournament has been announced.
The Panthers now will play Mandeville at 2 p.m. Saturday and East Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
On Sunday, Berwick will face John Ehret at 1:30 p.m.
Lady Panthers to play
today and Saturday
As of this morning, rain had not altered the schedule of the Teurlings Invitational where Berwick will participate today and Saturday.
Berwick will begin play today with a 4 p.m. contest against Comeaux at Comeaux High School.
On Saturday, the Lady Panthers will face Notre Dame at 1 p.m. and Acadiana at 3 p.m.
Also, Berwick has announced its Monday contest with Ellender has been moved to Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Berwick, while the Lady Panthers also have added a game to their schedule, a 4 p.m. contest against Catholic-Pointe Coupee at Berwick on Monday.
