CCHS softball tourney set to begin Friday

Central Catholic’s annual softball tournament will begin Friday and continue Saturday at the Amelia Recreation Complex.
The tournament will feature seven teams.
In addition to host Central Catholic, other teams include Patterson, Ellender, Houma Christian, Franklin, West St. Mary, South Terrebonne and Highland Baptist. Of the field, both Central Catholic and Ellender advanced to the state softball tournament a year ago. Central Catholic was a Class 1A semifinalist, while Ellender was a Class 4A quarterfinalist.
Games will be played on two fields
On Friday, area action includes Central Catholic meeting Patterson at 4 p.m. on Field 1.
On Saturday, Central Catholic will play back-to-back games on Field 1, meeting Ellender at 1 p.m. and Houma Christian at 3 p.m.
Patterson will face Ellender at 5 p.m. on Field 1.
On Field 2, Patterson will face West St. Mary at 11 a.m.
