CCHS tennis faces Vandebilt Catholic

Central Catholic took on Vandebilt Catholic in tennis Thursday.
The Eagles won a doubles match as Gavin Wisdom and Jon Gilmore teamed to defeat Vandebilt Catholic’s Spiro Stathes and Mason Luke, 8-6.
In other doubles action, Vandebilt Catholic’s Mason Melancon and Jacob Fournier defeated Wisdom and Gilmore, 8-0.
In singles action, Vandebilt Catholic’s Mitchell Thomas topped Central Catholic’s Connor Hebert, 8-0; Vandebilt’s Miguel Espirtitu defeated Central Catholic’s Luke Brinkley, 8-5; and Vandebilt Catholic’s Kevin Besson defeated Hebert, 8-1.
In girls action, Central Catholic won a doubles match as Ashley Daigle and Emma Thomas defeated Ashley Clement and Julie Melancon, 6-1, 7-6.
In other doubles action: Vandebilt Catholic’s Isabella Richard and Maggie Thibodeaux defeated Central Catholic’s Kerrilyn Luc and Lindsee Case, 8-1; Vandebilt Catholic’s Allie Arceneaux and Chloe Pellegrin topped Central Catholic’s Grace Granger and Sarah Price, 8-2; and Vandebilt Catholic’s Malloy Bruno and Demi Bourque knocked off Central Catholic’s Katie Navarro and Elise Daigle, 8-1.
