CCHS volleyball sweeps South Lafourche Thursday

Central Catholic defeated South Lafourche, 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-16) in high school volleyball action in Morgan City Thursday.
Central Catholic recorded 38 kills and eight aces.
Katie Hoffpauir led Central Catholic with one kill, 22 assists, three aces and seven digs. Other top contributors included Hallie Autin, 13 kills, two aces and seven digs; Quincee Wiggins, 11 kills, two aces and seven digs; Taylor Picou, 10 assists and two digs; Sydney Williams, eight kills and one dig; Brooke Lipari, one ace and five digs; Ava Nicar, five kills; Rebecca David, two solo blocks and one block assist; and Caroline Green, two solo blocks.
Central Catholic (13-7) will return to action today when it participates in Riverdale’s tournament. The Lady Eagles will face Riverdale at 4 p.m. and Patrick Taylor at 6:30 p.m.
Thibodaux sweeps
Patterson
The Patterson Lumberjills fell 3-0 (25-12, 25-8, 25-15) to Thibodaux at home Thursday.
Makayla Ruiz led Patterson with three kills and eight digs. Other top contributors included Ashlynn Rock, one ace, one kill, six digs and one block; Katelyn Larson, seven digs; Morgan Jones, one ace, two kills, one dig and one block; Josie Merida, two digs and two assists; and Kathryn Craddock, one ace.
Patterson (2-8) will return to action Tuesday when it starts District 2-IV play at West St. Mary.
