CHS Lady Bulldogs edge CCHS Lady Eagles CENTERVILLE _The Centerville Lady Bulldogs slipped past the Central Catholic of Morgan City Lady Eagles 41-38 here Tuesday in District 7-1A action at the CHS Gym.
CHS rallied from a 15-10 first quarter deficit with a 14-6 second quarter flurry for a 24-21 halftime cushion. Both squads scored 15 points apiece in the second half as CHS hung on for the nail-biting 41-38 victory.
Rylie Candella scored 15 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs while Alyrria Austin and Hailey McDaniel poured in 12 points each with Alyssa Lutchiz adding two points.
Centerville will return to action Friday against the Hanson Memorial Lady Tigers in District 7-1A action.
