Coaches to be featured in fundraiser

East Gate BBQ will hold a party to celebrate its third anniversary, which will feature a dunking contest with local prep football coaches.
Central Catholic head football coach Tommy Minton as well as Morgan City High School head football coach Scott Tregle will join members of East Gate’s staff as well as employees of the Morgan City Police Department in the contest, East Gate BBQ owner Harlan Kappel said.
The cost for two balls will be $5, while six balls will cost $10.
Kappel said all of the proceeds from the dunking booth, which will be held from 10:30 a.m. to about 6:30 p.m., as well as a beer pong tournament, which will be held beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, will benefit the Louisiana Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
