Comeaux run-ruled Morgan City, 12-2, in five innings in baseball action at Comeaux Monday.
Comeaux broke open a close game with four runs apiece in the fourth and fifth innings.
Ahead 4-2 heading to the bottom of the fourth, Comeaux plated four runs in the bottom of the fourth and four more in the bottom of the fifth to end the game.
Morgan City scored both of its runs in the top of the first for a 2-0 lead. The Tigers got on the board via a Malik Phillips solo home run, while the Tigers scored their other run when Evan Stadalis came home on a sacrifice fly by Morquisse Charles.
Comeaux tied the score at two in the bottom of the first inning.
The Spartans scored two runs in the third for a 4-2 advantage.
Comeaux outhit Morgan City 8-6, while each team committed three errors.
Phillips led Morgan City with a 3-for-3 performance with a home run, an RBI and a run. Other top contributors included Stadalis, 1-for-3, a double and a run; and Charles, an RBI.
Morgan City (9-10 overall, 2-0 in District 7-4A) will return to action today when it travels to take on Ellender in district action. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
