E.D. White nets 3-0 win against Tigers

In a battle of top 10 teams in the latest unofficial Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division III soccer power rankings, the E.D. White Cardinals got the best of the Morgan City Tigers.
E.D. White, who entered the game ranked No. 7 in the latest rankings, knocked off Morgan City, who was ranked No. 6, 3-0.
Morgan City coach Trevor Patterson said his team had multiple chances to score but were unsuccessful.
Morgan City (6-5-3 overall, 1-2 in district) will continue district play Tuesday when it hosts Vandebilt Catholic in a 7 p.m. contest.

In girls’ action, E.D. White defeated Morgan City, 8-0.
Patterson said his team had few chances to score.
He said E.D. White was a quick team and had the edge because they have travel and club soccer players.
Morgan City (4-5-1, 1-1-1) will continue district play Tuesday when it hosts Vandebilt Catholic in a 5 p.m. contest.
