E.D. White sweeps MCHS soccer

The Morgan City High School soccer teams fell in District 6-III action at E.D. White Friday.
The Tigers fell to E.D. White 4-0, while the Lady Tigers fell 8-0.
In the boys game, E.D. White took a 3-0 lead in the first half and added another goal in the second period.
The game was a matchup of two teams ranked near each other in the Division III power rankings as E.D. White entered the game No. 9, according to the Louisiana High School Athletic Association’s latest rankings, while Morgan City was No. 11.
In the girls’ contest, Morgan City fell 8-0. E.D. White scored four goals in each period.
E.D. White entered the contest ranked No. 2 in the latest Division III power rankings.
The Morgan City Tigers (5-10-2 overall, 0-3 in district) and Lady Tigers (0-12-1, 0-3) will return to action Wednesday when it travels to take on New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy in district action. The girls game is set for a 5 p.m. start with boys action to follow at 7 p.m.
