Ellender tops FSHS

HOUMA _ Ellender’s Patriots earned a 23-0 win over the Franklin Hornets here Friday in non-district action.
With the loss, Franklin slipped to 0-8 on the season.
The Ellender Memorial Patriots opened the scoring with a safety before Justen Harris scored on an 11–yard run for a 10-0 halftime lead. In the second half, Ellender’s Jordan Gauthreaux and Harris adding touchdowns runs of 47 and 38 respectively to cap the scoring for the Patriots, who improved to 3-5 on the season.
Franklin (0-8, 0-2) will return to league play on Friday by hosting the Donaldsonville Tigers at J. C. Dry Stadium.
