Erath edges Franklin; AEHS downs HMS; Raiders win over WSM

The Erath Bobcats earned a 21-20 non-district win over the Franklin Hornets here Friday.
Erath (1-3) picked up its first win of the season while the Franklin Hornets slipped to 0-4 on the season.
Highlighting Franklin’s effort were touchdown passes of 29 yards to Allen Randle and 76 yards to DeAndre Charles along with an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown from Charles Webb.
Franklin (0-4) will host the Morgan City Tigers for homecoming Friday at J. C. Dry Stadium.
The Ascension Episcopal Blue Gators posted a 35-18 victory over the Hanson Memorial Tigers here Friday in District 7-A action.
Hanson suffered its first loss of the season, slipping to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in league play.
Hanson will play host to Lafayette Christian on Friday at McCloskey Field at 7 p.m.
The West St. Mary Wolfpack suffered a 42-28 loss to the Northwest High School Raiders here Friday in non-district action.
With the loss, the Wolfpack slipped to 0-4 on the season.
West St. Mary will return to action Friday by hosting Ferriday for Homecoming at Wolfpack Stadium.
