Four Lady Tigers make first team

Morgan City High School placed four members of its team on the All-District 7-II girls soccer team.
The Lady Tigers’ defenders, senior Lee Anne Price and junior Cayla Mayon as well as senior midfielder Sarah Patterson and senior forward Paige Comeaux all made the top squad.
Morgan City had five more second-team selections: junior goalkeeper Hannah Toups, sophomore defenders Sierra Champagne and Brandi Albarado and midfielders, freshman Kaylynn Gros and junior Hannah Falgout.
Morgan City’s honorable mention choices were Madison Barrilleaux, Skyla Clark, Johnay Coulon, Abigail Esteban, Hanna Gros, Victoria Rice and Allie Vincent.
Vandebilt Catholic swept the individual honors as sophomore Emma Guidry was the Defensive Most Valuable Player, while Grace Champagne was the Offensive Most Valuable Player.
Vandebilt Catholic coach Philip Amadee was named the district’s Coach of the Year.
