Frank's Agency falls in 9 innings

Frank’s Agency (Patterson) dropped its fifth consecutive Swampland League contest with a 7-6 defeat to Houma Christian in nine innings on the road Tuesday.
Frank’s Agency left 18 runners on base in the loss.
Brennan Gouaux suffered the loss for Frank’s Agency.
Joel Singleton led Frank’s Agency with four hits, while Bryce Beauboeuf had two. Lukas Carnley, Jake La-grange and Kenny Singleton each had a hit.
Frank’s Agency (1-5) will return to action Thursday when it makes the short trip to Morgan City to face Skipper’s Sporting Goods (Morgan City). Junior varsity is set for a 5 p.m. start with varsity to follow at 7 p.m.
Halimar Shipyard falls to Central Lafourche
Central Catholic-based Halimar Shipyard suffered its first loss of the season, falling 3-1 to Central Lafourche-based Jester’s Court, 3-1, in Swampland League action Tuesday.
While Jester’s Court took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second, Halimar Shipyard tied the game at 1 in the top of the fourth.
Jester’s Court retook the lead for good in the bottom of the fourth with two runs.
Halimar actually outhit Jester’s Court 8-7 in the win.
Blake Hidalgo suffered the loss for Halimar. In six innings, he surrendered three runs — two earned — on seven hits with one walk.
Mitchell Lemoine led Halimar with a 3-for-3 per-formance, while T.J. Ruffin was 2-for-3 with a double. Other contributors were Hidalgo, 1-for-1, an RBI; Gregory Leger, 1-for-2 with a double; and Thomas Garber, 1-for-2.
Halimar Shipyard (2-1) will return to action Thursday when it travels to face South Terrebonne-based South Louisiana Bank. Junior varsity action is set for a 3:30 p.m. start with varsity to follow at 5:30 p.m.
Skipper’s falls
Skipper’s Sporting Goods (Morgan City) suffered its first loss of the Swampland season with a 5-4 defeat in 10 innings on the road Tuesday.
No book was kept for the game.
Skipper’s (3-1) will return to action Thursday when it hosts Frank’s Agency.
Taco Bell’s game
postponed
Taco Bell’s (Berwick) con-test with Bayou Boys (South Lafourche) was rained out early in the first inning Tuesday with no score.
No makeup date has been set.
In junior varsity action, Taco Bell fell 6-5.
Taco Bell (1-2) will return to action Thursday when it hosts Synergy Bank (E.D. White). Junior varsity is set for a 5 p.m. start with varsity to follow at 7 p.m.
