FSHS girls, boys win over Centerville

The Franklin High School girls and boys posted victories over the Centerville teams Wednesday at the Franklin Senior High School Gym.
Franklin’s Fabian Small led the Lady Hornets in scoring with 16 points while Mia Francis and Quanta Jones poured in 13 apiece with Wyneshia Jenkins polishing off the double digit scorers with 11 points.
Leading scorers for Centerville were: Nykeytra Kennedy, 8; Alyrria Austin, 7; Kayla Robinson, 6; Roshayla Gunner, 6; Olivia Thibodeaux, 3 and Hailey McDaniel, 2.
Dwonyell Charles tossed in 20 points while Jeraslyn Kelly added 10 points to power the Franklin Hornets to a 67-32 win over the Centerville Bulldogs.
Other top scorers for Franklin were Chris Jones with 9, D. J. Kinchen with six and T. James with six.
Leading scorers for Centerville were: Jaylon Williams, 13; Marvin Strawder, 5; Rodrick Harris, 5; Cole Candella, 4; Lance Howard, 4 and Cameron Pogue, 1.
Centerville boys will host ESA on Friday.
Franklin’s Lady Hornets will play Abbeville tonight at 5 in the annual Hanson Holiday Classic Tournament at the Billy Gene Talbot Gymnasium.
The Franklin Hornets will be in action on Friday at 5 p.m. in the Patterson High School Tournament.
