FSHS, HMS play district games tonight; WSM plays Friday

The Franklin Senior High School Hornets and the Hanson Memorial Tigers play road district games tonight while the West St. Mary Wolfpack opens its district season on the road on Friday in Week 6 of the high school grid season.
Franklin (0-5) opens District 9-3A action tonight at the Berwick Panthers (1-4) at 7.
Hanson (4-1, 1-1) will travel to face long-time nemesis Central Catholic of Morgan City (3-2, 1-1) in District 7-1A action tonight at 7 p.m.
The West St. Mary Wolfpack (0-5) will travel to Crowley to battle Notre Dame High School Pioneers in the District 9-3A opener Friday at 7 p.m.
FSHS AT BERWICK
Franklin heads into the District 9-3A opener looking for its first win of the season tonight.
Franklin enters tonight’s contest after dropping a 14-6 decision to the Morgan City Tigers last week at J. C. Dry Stadium.
Berwick comes into tonight’s league opener after falling to the Jeanerette Tigers last week on the road.

HANSON AT CENTRAL CATHOLIC
The Hanson Memorial Tigers will invade Tiger Stadium tonight looking to move up in the district standings against arch-rival Central Catholic.
Hanson is coming off last week’s home victory over Lafayette Christian while Central Catholic suffered a league loss to Vermilion Catholic last week.
HMS travels to face Central Catholic in a key District 7-1A matchup tonight at 7 at Tiger Stadium.
WEST ST. MARY AT NOTRE DAME
Notre Dame will host the West St. Mary Wolfpack in the District 6-3A opener Friday at 7 p.m.
Notre Dame (3-2) enters Friday’s action after falling to the Catholic High of New Iberia Panthers 58-28 last week.
West St. Mary heads into Friday’s action following a 28-15 setback at the hands of the Ferriday Trojans.
West St. Mary travels to battle the Notre Dame Pioneers Friday in District 6-3A action.
