Gaylen Grogan homers twice in Patterson's win Wednesday

Gaylen Grogan connected on two home runs as the Patterson Lumberjills defeated Abbeville High School 8-5 Wednesday on the road.
Grogan finished the day 4-for-4 and also added a double and a single. She was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle.
The junior had three RBIs and two runs.
Patterson had 15 hits in the win, including three doubles and two triples.
Other top offensive contributors for Patterson included Hailey Sehon, 2-for-3, with a double, a triple, an RBI and two runs; Taylor Hall, 2-for-3, an RBI; Ashley Bonilla, 2-for-3, a run; Ashlynn Rock, 2-for-4; Cassie Boudreaux, 1-for-4, a double, an RBI and a run; and Tapanga Haven, an RBI and a run.
Patterson (9-14) will return to action today when it hosts Lafayette Christian in a 4 p.m. contest.
