Hanson Tigers split tourney wins

Hanson Memorial posted a 10-9 victory over South Lafourche here Saturday in the annual Hanson Memorial Classic at the Amar Lancon Field.
Pitchers Brennan Young and Josh Sanchez teamed up on the hill for the Tigers. Young was the starter for the Tigers, tossing four complete innings, surrendering four earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts and four walks. Sanchez picked up the mound victory in relief of Young and working three innings, allowing four runs (none earned) on one hit with three strikeouts and two walks.
Leading hitters for the Hanson Memorial Tigers were: Luke Rodriguez, 2 for 2, triple, double, 3 RBIs, run; Spencer Bishop, 2 for 2, RBI, run; Bo Barrilleaux, 2 for 5, run, RBI; Luke Chaisson, 3 for 5, run, RBI and John Guienze, 1 for 3, 2 runs.

LHS’ Spencer Freyou and Kameron Broussard teamed up to lead the Loreauville Tigers to a 12-3 win over the Hanson Memorial Tigers Saturday in the annual Hanson Memorial Classic.
Freyou notched the mound victory after working six complete innings, giving up three runs on five hits with nine strikeouts and three walks. Landon Westcott appeared in the seven, giving up no runs on no hits with one strikeout and one walk.
Broussard clubbed a home run to lead the Tigers in hitting, going 1 for 2 with one run and 2 RBIs.
Hanson’s Evan Thibodaux took the loss after starting and pitching 2 1/3 frames, allowing eight earned runs on five hits with six strikeouts and four walks. Brian Sonnier appeared and went one inning, giving up one run on no hits with three walks and one strikeout. Brock Broussard tossed the final 3.67 innings, surrendering three earned runs on two hits with four strikeouts and three walks.
