Hanson wins 64-23

BALDWIN _ Three players scored in double figures leading the Hanson Memorial Lady Tigers to a 64-23 victory over the West St. Mary Lady Wolfpack here Wednesday at the West St. Mary High School Gym.
Hanson (5-0) raced out front by a 16-6 lead in the opening quarter. At the half, the Lady Tigers upped their lead to 31-11. Hanson’s Lady Tigers went on a 25-2 spurt in the third quarter before icing away the victory by a final score of 54-23.
Casey Fitzgerald led the Lady Tigers with 18 points and six rebounds. Carlie Pellerin tossed in 15 points with Allyssa Young bagging 14 points to polish off the Hanson Memorial Lady Tigers’ double-digit scorers.
Other top scorers for the Lady Tigers were: Lunden Verdin, 5; Baylee Young, 5; Camille Baker, 3; Olivia St. Blanc, 3 and Sarah Daniel, 2.
Hanson Memorial (5-0) will play the Morgan City Lady Tigers today at 3:30 in the annual Tourney of the Teche in Centerville.
