Hebert tosses no-hitter in win

Morgan City’s Tyler Hebert tossed a no-hitter and the Lady Tigers shut out Hanson 4-0 in Morgan City’s annual Pink Game Tuesday.
Hebert tossed seven innings and surrendered just three walks and fanned three.
Offensively, she finished 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Morgan City had 10 hits in the contest.
Other top hitters for the Lady Tigers were Celestina Williams, 2-for-4; Katelyn Alvarez, 1-for-2, a double, an RBI and a run; and Alaysia Williams, 1-for-3, a triple, an RBI and a run.
Wednesday’s game was a battle of top 10 teams in their classes as Morgan City is ranked No. 6 in the latest unofficial Louisiana High School Athletic Association’s Class 4A power rankings, while Hanson is ranked No. 10 in Class 1A.
Morgan City (10-6) won’t return to action until Tuesday when it hosts Ellender in a 4 p.m. District 7-4A contest.
Brusly run-rules
Berwick
Berwick fell to Brusly 10-0 in five innings in softball action on the road Wednesday.
Brusly, who led just three nothing entering the top of the fifth, scored seven runs in the bottom of the fifth for the final margin.
Jordan Lipari suffered the loss, pitching four innings and surrendered three runs on five hits with three walks and fanning one.
In one inning of relief, Sydney Aucoin surrendered seven runs on six hits.
Brusly outhit Berwick 11-3.
McKenzie Baumgartner, Jaci Arnold and Shannon Theriot each had a hit for Berwick.
Berwick (11-13) will return to action today when it travels to face Patterson in a District 9-3A contest set for 4 p.m.
