Henderson out as LHSAA commissioner

The Executive Committee wishes to express its appreciation to Mr. Henderson for his dedicated service over the last seven years, the improvements made during his term as Executive Director, and his efforts in meeting the many challenges which have been faced by the LHSAA during that period.

Louisiana High School Athletic Association executive director Kenny Henderson and the executive committee of the organization have agreed to part ways.
The decision was effective Friday.
LHSAA President Vic Bonnaffee, principal of Central Catholic, announced Henderson’s departure Thursday and declined further comment, saying it was a personnel matter.
“The Executive Committee wishes to express its appreciation to Mr. Henderson for his dedicated service over the last seven years, the improvements made during his term as Executive Director, and his efforts in meeting the many challenges which have been faced by the LHSAA during that period,” the LHSAA said in a statement announcing the move.
The LHSAA has formed a committee to begin searching for Henderson’s replacement. The panel will be chaired by Todd Guice, a past president of LHSAA and the principal of Ouachita Parish High School.
The LHSAA announced in a release Monday that it was now taking applications for the position.
