High school gridiron action continues in parish

The high school grid season reaches the midway point with the Centerville Bulldogs taking on the Central Catholic Eagles tonight at Tiger Stadium in Morgan City.
Centerville (1-3, 0-1) will make the short journey to face Central Catholic (1-3, 0-1) on Thursday at Tiger Stadium.
In other local action on Friday, the West St. Mary Wolfpack will entertain the Jeanerette Tigers in District 5-2A for homecoming at Wolfpack Stadium.
The Hanson Memorial Tigers will host the Vermilion Catholic Eagles in District 7-1A play at McCloskey Field on Friday.
The Franklin Hornets will play host to the E. D. White Cardinals on Friday in District 8-3A action at J. C. Dry Stadium on Friday.
CENTERVILLE AT CENTRAL CATHOLIC
Centerville and Central Catholic clash with both teams looking to post their first league win of the season tonight in District 7-1A action at 7 p.m. at Tiger Stadium in Morgan City.
Centerville is currently 1-3 overall and 0-1 in District 7-1A play following last week’s 39-18 setback to the Gueydan Bears.
Centerville will make the short drive to face Central Catholic (1-3, 0-1) tonight in league play.
JEANERETTE AT WEST ST. MARY
The West St. Mary Wolfpack head into Friday’s longtime rivalry with the Jeanerette Tigers looking for their first win of the season.
West St. Mary (0-3, 0-1) is fresh off a 56-6 loss to the Catholic High School Panthers of New Iberia.
Jeanerette (1-3, 0-1) looks to play the spoiler role on Friday in West St. Mary’s Homecoming.
West St. Mary hosts longtime rival Jeanerette on Friday at 7 p.m. in District 5-2A at Wolfpack Stadium.
VERMILION CATHOLIC AT HANSON MEMORIAL
The Hanson Memorial Tigers will play host to the Vermilion Catholic Eagles in District 7-1A action Friday at 7 p.m. at McCloskey Field.

Vermilion Catholic, currently 1-3 overall and 1-0 in league play, invades McCloskey Field Friday for a 7 p.m. kickoff against the Hanson Tigers.

Franklin returns from a 3-game road trip to the friendly confines of J. C. Dry Stadium to hosting longtime District 8-3A foe the E. D. White Cardinals on Friday at 7 p.m.
Franklin (1-3, 0-1) returns to action after coming up on the short end of a 20-14 loss to the undefeated Berwick Panthers in District 8-3A action last week.
