HANSON’S JOHN HIGDON takes a lead off first base during the LHSAA State Class 1-A playoff contest against East Beauregard. Tonight, No. 5 Hanson Memorial Tigers will play host to the No. 13 Catholic High School of Point Coupee Hornets in the quarterfinals of the State Class 1-A playoffs at the Amar Lancon Field. The winner of tonight’s Hanson-Catholic High of Point Coupee contest will advance to the Class A state tournament at McMurray Park in Sulphur next week.
