NOEL BAKER, a junior at Hanson Memorial High School, set out to defend her state championship title on Friday, May 6th, at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium on the campus of LSU. Baker placed first in the javelin event with a throw of 132 feet, beating the second place finisher by more than 10 feet. She was named the Class 1A State Champion- Javelin. Baker is now a two time State Champion.
