HMS defeats GHS

GUEYDAN _ The Hanson Memorial High School Tigers registered a 47-14 victory over the Gueydan Bears in District 7-A action here Friday at the GHS Stadium.
Hanson (5-2, 3-1) jumped outfront by a 28-0 halftime score before posting the 47-14 victory over the winless Gueydan Bears.
Hanson’s Jeff Soulis led the way with four carries for 94 yards with one touchdown. Quarterback Bo Barrilleaux rushed three times for 54 yards while Kale Delcambre carried eight times for 51 yards.
Hanson Memorial (5-1, 3-1) will play host to Highland Baptist (5-1, 2-1) for Homecoming on Friday at 7 p.m. at McCloskey Field.
