Jamborees are today

The area’s three bowling squads will begin their season at one of the six jamborees that will be held in Morgan City or Houma today.
Morgan City’s and Berwick’s boys’ and girls’ teams will play at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City, while Central Catholic’s boys’ and girls’ teams will participate in jamboree action at Creole Lanes in Houma.
In boys’ action in Morgan City, South Lafourche will meet Berwick, and Thibodaux and Morgan City will meet Thibodaux, all at 3:40 p.m.
The two winners of the boys’ contests will then play, while the two losers also will meet.
In girls’ action, Morgan City and Berwick will play at 3:40 p.m., followed by South Lafourche vs. Morgan City and Berwick and South Lafourche.
At Creole Lanes, Central Catholic will play E.D. White in boys’ action at 3:40 p.m.
In girls’ action, following the Terrebonne-Vandebilt Catholic matchup at 3:40 p.m., Central Catholic will meet Terrebonne, followed by Vandebilt Catholic and Central Catholic.
All three area teams will begin their seasons Jan. 22 at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.
