Johnson wins football contest

Leroy Johnson of Patterson won first place in The Daily Review football contest. 

Johnson, who missed three games, wins $40. 

There was a five-way tie for second place with each missing five games. 

Two of the entries correctly picked the tie-breaker, which was the USC v. Notre Dame game. Notre Dame won 14-10. The contestants guessed Notre Dame 28 and USC 24. 

Pete Prestenbach and Marianne Turnage, both of Morgan City, split the $20 second-place prize money.
