Kaplan defeats Berwick, 43-32

Kaplan knocked off Berwick 43-32 in District 8-3A action in Berwick Friday.
Madison Carline led Berwick with 14 points, while Jordan Lipari also reached double figures with 10 points.
Other scorers included Kaloni James and Mary Jordan Melancon, four points apiece.
Berwick (1-12 overall, 0-6 in district) will return to action Tuesday when it hosts E.D. White in a 6 p.m. contest.
Patterson drops first
district game
The Patterson Lumberjills dropped their first District 8-3A contest this season as they fell to E.D. White, 53-29, in Thibodaux Friday.
E.D. White led after every quarter, taking a 16-6 advantage after a period, a 31-9 lead at the half and a 39-13 lead after three quarters.
Alex Benjamin was Patterson’s leading scorer with 11 points.
Patterson (7-6, 4-1) will return to action Tuesday when it hosts Erath in a 5:30 p.m. contest.
MCHS falls to
South Lafourche
The Morgan City Lady Tigers fell to South Lafourche, 77-20 in District 7-4A action in Galliano Friday.
South Lafourche led 24-5 after the first quarter, 45-7 at halftime and 66-7 after three quarters.
Alisha Singleton led Morgan City with 13 points, while Sh’Diamond Holly scored four and Nia Lightfoot, three.
Morgan City (4-10, 0-3) will return to action Tuesday when it hosts Ellender in a 6:30 p.m. contest.
CCHS to host
Hanson today
Central Catholic will host Hanson Memorial today in boys’ and girls’ District 7-1A basketball action.
The girls’ contest will begin at 5 p.m., followed by boys’ varsity at 6 p.m.
The games will be broadcast on KBZE 105.9 FM and KFRA 1390 A.M.
The Central Catholic girls enter the contest with an 11-7 overall mark and a 3-3 record in district, while the boys’ team is 3-10 overall and 1-2 in district.
