Lady Cougars nip Hanson Lady Tigers

LAFAYETTE _ St. Thomas More’s Lady Cougars earned a 3-0 win over the Hanson Memorial Lady Tigers here Wednesday in non-district action.
STM, of Class 4-A, capitalized on two key errors committed by the Hanson Lady Tigers to gain the 3-0 win.
Hanson’s Sarah Sonnier pitched seven complete innings for the Lady Tigers allowing two hits with 11 strikeouts and one walk.
Paige Diamond led the Lady Tigers with a 1 for 4 effort at the plate.
Hanson (10-2, 3-0) will return to District 7-A action today versus Central Catholic at the Bayou Vista Park.
