Lady Eagles defeat Landry-Walker

The Central Catholic Lady Eagles picked up their first win of the season, 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-18), at home against Landry-Walker Wednesday.
Senior Kaitlyn Gros led the Lady Eagles with five kills, 18 assists, eight digs and five aces.
Other top contributors included freshman Quincee Wiggins, seven kills; sophomore Hallie Autin and senior Brittany Longman, five kills each; sophomore Emma Aucoin, nine digs; freshman Taylor Picou, four aces; and junior Rebecca David, two blocks.
Central Catholic (1-1) will return to action today when it begins play in Assumption’s tournament. The Lady Eagles will face Berwick at 4:30 p.m. and Thibodaux High at 5:30 p.m.
