Lady Hornets end season

VILLE PLATTE _ No. 4 seed Ville Platte ended the No. 25 seed Franklin Lady Hornets season here Thursday in the Class 3-A bi-district playoffs by a final score of 56-33.
Ville Platte jumped outfront by a score of 11-6 at the end of the first quarter. VPHS gained a 30-15 lead at intermission before securing a 44-21 advantage at the end of the third quarter. Ville Platte kept the hot hand in the final quarter, gaining the 56-33 first-round victory.
Sta’Trail Butler led the Lady Hornets with 13 points on 5 2’s and 1 3-pointer. Kenyoda Cormier tossed in 7 points, Kaira Butler bagged 6 points on 3 FGs while Jazmine Byers had 5 points on one deuce and one trey. Ajontae McDaniel had 2 points to close out the scoring for the Lady Hornets.
Ville Platte was led by Tureona Doucette with 17 points.
