Lady Hornets fall to Erath, 59-43

ERATH _ Alexis Lege and Monette Bolden combined for 47 points, leading the Erath Lady Bobcats to a 59-43 District 8-3A victory over the Franklin Lady Hornets here Tuesday at the EHS Gym.
Franklin trailed Erath by a score of 15-5 at the end of the first quarter.
The Lady Bobcats increased their lead to 33-15 at intermission before gaining a 45-32 cushion at the end of three quarters. Erath iced away the league win by a final score of 59-43.
Leading the Lady Hornets were Kaira Butler with 11 points on 4 FGs and 3 of 4 FTs. Sta’Trail Butler also scored in double figures with 10 points on 2 deuces and 2 3-point FGs.
Kenyoda Cormier also tallied 10 points on 4 FGs and 2 of 5 FTs.
Jazmine Byers polished off the double digit scorers with 10 points on 5 FGs. Dy’real Notto tossed in 2 points on 1 FG.
Erath was led by Alexis Lege with 27 points and Monette Bolden with 20 points.
The Franklin Lady Hornets will host North Vermilion on Friday at 5.
