Local athletic events postponed

Several area athletic events scheduled for today have been postponed.
In baseball, Morgan City's baseball contest at Belle Chasse has been rained out, while Berwick's contest against Riverside has been pushed back to Wednesday at 4 p.m. Central Catholic's and Patterson's contests still are scheduled to be played today. The Eagles will travel to face Comeaux in a 4 p.m. contest, while Patterson will host Bonnabel at 5:30 p.m.
Morgan City's contest may be made up later this season.
In softball, Morgan City's game against Lutcher, set for 4 p.m. today in Morgan City, has been postponed until Wednesday at 4 p.m., while Thursday's contest against Ellender has been moved back to 6 p.m.
Patterson's game today at H.L. Bourgeois has been rained out, but Central Catholic's contest will go on as scheduled at Gueydan at 4 p.m.
Also, Berwick's tennis match today at 3 p.m. at Kemper Williams Park against Vandebilt Catholic has been cancelled.
