Lumberjacks defeat Hornets

The Patterson Lumberjacks posted a 41-6 District 9-3A victory over the Franklin Senior High School Hornets Thursday at J. C. Dry Stadium.
Patterson finished the District 9-3A season with a perfect 4-0 record. The Lumberjacks closed out the regular season by winning yet another league title while finishing 7-3 overall.
For the first time in recent history, the Franklin Hornets suffered an 0-10 won-loss overall record which included an 0-4 league mark.
Patterson built up a 34-0 halftime cushion Thursday before extending the advantage to 41-0 midway through the final period.
DeAndre Charles scored Franklin’s lone touchdown late in the final period on an 18-yard run as the Patterson Lumberjacks strolled away with the 41-6 season-ending victory.
