Lutcher routs MCHS

The Morgan City High School softball team fell 17-2 to Lutcher in five innings Wednesday.
Morgan City was limited to four hits in the loss, while of Lutcher’s 17 runs, just eight were earned.
Hannah Gros led the Lady Tigers with a 1-for-3 performance with an RBI, while Aliya Green was 1-for-2 with a run and a stolen base; Taylor Prince, 1-for-2, with a run; and Brandi Ingram, 1-for-3.
Reagan Barbier took the loss for Morgan City. In five innings, she surrendered 17 runs — eight earned — on seven hits with seven walks and three strikeouts.
Morgan City (6-4) will return to action today when it hosts Ellender in its District 7-4A opener at 6 p.m.
