MCHS defeats Berwick in high school bowling

Morgan City defeated Berwick, 27-0, in girls bowling action Monday at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.
Ali Tregle led Morgan City with a 532 series (199, 193), while Meghan Amador recorded a 496 series (185, 180). Other top bowlers included Hannah Pipes with a 475 series (169, 171), Mackenzie Amador (233, 157), Marissa Davis (189), Reagan Barbier (175) and Laura Nolazco (165).
Micah Lambert led Berwick with a 406 series (114, 128, 164).
Berwick (0-8) will return to action Monday when it faces Houma Christian at Charlie’s Lanes, while on Wednesday, the squad will face Morgan City at Charlie’s Lanes. Both matches are set to begin at 3:40 p.m.
Morgan City (7-1) will return to action Monday when it travels to face E.D. White at Creole Lanes in Houma, while on Wednesday, Morgan City will face Berwick at Charlie’s Lanes.

Berwick High School’s boys bowling team defeated Central Catholic and Morgan City in boys bowling action this week.
On Monday, Berwick defeated Central Catholic 21-6 at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.
Mark Lemoine led Berwick with a 595 series (176, 236, 183). Other top bowlers included Brandon Lemoine with a 556 series (196, 164, 196), Aaron Barrilleaux (219, 177), Ian Valdez (210), Abram Gilder (203), Chris Beltran (194) and Lucas Landry (163).
On Wednesday, Berwick topped Morgan City, 15-12, at Charlie’s Lanes.
Mark Lemoine led Berwick with a 677 series (261, 197, 219), while Beltran had a 667 series (243, 221, 203). Other top bowlers included Barrilleaux with a 572 series (206, 205, 161), Gilder, a 563 series (175, 234); and Brandon Lemoine (181, 182).
Berwick (5-2) is off Monday and will return to action Wednesday when it faces E.D. White at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City. The match is set for a 3:40 p.m. start.
CCHS drops two games
Central Catholic dropped two games this week, falling to Berwick Monday and E.D. White on Wednesday.
On Monday, Central Catholic fell 21-6 to Berwick at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.
Josh Abney led the squad with a 673 series (204, 255, 214). Other top bowlers included Liam McCloy (177, 175) and Emily Price (166, 159).
On Wednesday, Central Catholic fell 18-9 to E.D. White at Charlie’s Lanes.
Abney led the team with a 608 series (194, 220, 194). Other top bowlers included Price with a 507 series (161, 205), Ashley Daigle (165) and Dave Laubach (163).
Central Catholic (0-7) will be in action Monday against Houma Christian at Charlie’s Lanes in a 3:40 p.m. contest, while on Wednesday, the team has a bye.
Tigers drop game
to Berwick
Morgan City fell to Berwick, 15-12, in bowling action at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City Wednesday.
Zachary Stewart led Morgan City with a 627 series (171, 171, 285), while Antoine Bui added a 608 series (223, 220, 165).
Other top Morgan City bowlers included Jayson Hidalgo with a 574 series (167, 237, 170), Jason Myers 518 series (204), Hau Vo 502 series (170, 176) and Zachary Gussman (191, 169).
Morgan City (2-5) will return to action Monday when it faces E.D. White at Creole Lanes in Houma, while Morgan City boys will face Houma Christian at Charlie’s Lanes. Both matches will begin at 3:40 p.m.
