MCHS falls to St. Michael

St. Michael the Archangel defeated Morgan City, 9-0, in baseball action at Tiger Diamond Tuesday.
The visitors scored three runs in the first, four in the third and two in the fifth.
St. Michael, a Class 4A semifinalist a year ago, outhit Morgan City, 13-6.
Morgan City left seven runners on base, while St. Michael stranded 12.
Of St. Michael’s nine runs, just four were earned as Morgan City committed five errors.
Colby Glatter suffered the loss for Morgan City. In 2.1 innings, he surrendered seven runs — four earned — on eight hits with one walk and one hit batter.
Ross Albritton led Morgan City’s offense with a 2-for-3 performance.
Morgan City (3-7) will return to action today when it meets Scotlandville in a 6 p.m. contest at Plaquemine as part of Plaquemine High’s Sam Distefano Classic.
