MCHS qualifies 2 for state

Morgan City qualified two swimmers for the state meet next month during action at the UNO Lakefront Arena pool Oct. 4.
Ethan Aucoin and Carter Arcemont both qualified for the state meet in the 100-yard Individual Medley. Arcemont finished eighth in 1:24.18, while Aucoin was 12th in 1:29.45.
As a team, the Tigers finished fourth with 160 points, while the Lady Tigers were third with 168 points.
In combined team scoring, Morgan City was third with 328 points.
Lusher Charter earned both the boys’ and combined team titles. Lusher had 490 points, while the New Orleans squad totaled 772 points in combined boys’ and girls’ scoring.
Ursuline Academy took the girls’ team title with 445 points.
