MCHS soccer finishes 1-2 at Pineville tourney

Morgan City High School’s boys soccer team finished 1-2 at Pineville’s tournament this past weekend.
Morgan City split its games Friday, falling to Westgate 6-2 before picking up its first win of the season with a 3-0 victory against Benton.
On Saturday, Morgan City fell in its tournament finale to Pineville, 1-0.
Against Westgate, Robert Prejeant scored both of Morgan City’s goals, while in the win against Benton, Miquel Perez scored two goals for the Tigers and Cesar Zavala added another.
Morgan City will return to action Tuesday when it hosts H.L. Bourgeois. Girl’s action is set for a 5 p.m. start, with boy’s action to follow at 7 p.m.
