MCHS soccer teams beat Plaquemine

The Morgan City High School soccer teams swept Plaquemine High School in nondistrict action at Tiger Stadium Tuesday.
In girls’ action, Morgan City fell behind 2-0 in the first half, surrendering two “easy” goals, Morgan City Soccer Coach Trevor Patterson said.
“We outshot them, but couldn’t score,” Patterson said of the first half.
However, Morgan City (3-5-1) played better in the second half, rallying for the 3-2 victory. Angie Sagastizado scored twice for Morgan City, while Dasny Bardales had one goal for the Lady Tigers.
In the boys’ contest, Morgan City won 6-0.
Keny Valle-Ramos had two goals for Morgan City (5-9), while Andy Rangel, Irving Morales, Jesus Garcia and Helder Hernandez all had one goal for the Tigers.
Morgan City will continue its season with nondistrict contests in girls and boys soccer at Cecilia Friday.
